🌍 About the role

We’re looking for a Micromobility and Accessibility Officer to help shape the future of inclusive, sustainable transport across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our e-bike and e-scooter services, alongside developing and monitoring accessibility and inclusion initiatives. You’ll:

  • 🚲 Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the e-scooter trial and e-bike service, acting as the main contact for the operator.
  • 📊 Monitor performance, contract compliance, usage, safety, modal shift, carbon impacts and accessibility.
  • 🤝 Work with local authorities, police, universities, operators and community stakeholders.
  •

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 🎓 A degree or equivalent experience in transport planning, transport operations or a related discipline.
  • 🚦 Experience in transport, micromobility, accessibility, policy or a related field.
  • 📌 Experience managing projects, contracts or trials involving multiple stakeholders.
  • K public-sector context would be desirable.

💡 Why join us?

You’ll be joining a team working on projects that directly influence how people move around, access opportunities and connect with their communities.

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate our CIVIL values — Collaboration, Integrity, Vision, Innovation and Leadership — and who wants to make a practical difference to transport across the region.

The Company

Local government—but not as you know it!
We’re the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA), a bold and forward-thinking organisation created in 2017 through a landmark devolution deal with Government. That deal handed us the power and the funding to make decisions locally, for the people who live and work here.

We’re a partnership of seven councils working together with businesses, educators, health services, emergency responders and community groups to drive growth and improve lives across our region. Led by a directly elected Mayor and a Board of local leaders, we’re united by a clear mission - to get Cambridgeshire and Peterborough moving.

At the Combined Authority, we do things the CIVIL way—Collaboration, Integrity, Vision, Innovation, Leadership. We’re passionate about our people and proud of our culture. If you’re looking for a career where you can make a real impact, grow your skills, and be part of something meaningful, you’ve come to the right place.
